What you can do
Inventory
- Track batch, expiry, MRP, cost price, reorder level, HSN code and category for every item.
- Scan EAN, UPC, Code 128, QR and GS1 DataMatrix codes with a camera or a USB scanner; batch and expiry are read from GS1 codes.
- AI fills in product details from a barcode, for you to check.
- Import your existing stock from a CSV file, and filter items that are expiring soon or have expired.
Billing
- Bill at the counter with discounts, a tax or GST rate, and the payment mode: cash, UPI, card or other.
- Print receipts, search past invoices, reprint them and export them to CSV.
Ledger and analytics
- Every stock movement is recorded in a history that cannot be edited.
- See fast and slow movers (ABC analysis), dead stock, reorder suggestions, stock value at risk from expiry, and margins.
Prescriptions and doctors
- Prescriptions sent by doctors arrive as orders: move them from new to preparing to dispensed, and the patient is kept informed.
- Doctors can link your pharmacy to their chamber with your Doctserve ID and see your stock as they prescribe.
- Host a doctor’s chamber and run their queue, walk-ins included.
Staff
- Create staff logins with their own permissions for prescription orders, inventory and billing.

Choose “Pharmacy” and add your pharmacy’s name and drug licence number.

Our team checks your licence. Meanwhile you can set up stock and billing; opening patients’ prescriptions needs verification.

Frequently asked questions
Is Doctserve free?
Yes. Creating an account and using the features on this page is free today. If we ever introduce fees, we will tell you in advance, as our Terms of Service explain.
Does it work with a USB barcode scanner?
Yes. A USB scanner types the code like a keyboard, so you can scan straight into the stock and billing screens. You can also scan with a device’s camera.
Can I import my existing stock?
Yes, from a CSV file, so you don’t have to type your current stock in again.
Does Doctserve file GST returns?
No. Bills record a tax or GST rate and the payment mode, and you can export invoices to CSV for your accountant.
Do patients order medicines online?
Not on Doctserve. Doctors send prescriptions to your pharmacy, and you prepare and dispense them.
Why does verification matter?
Until our team verifies your drug licence, you can manage your own stock and billing, but you can’t open patients’ prescriptions for dispensing.
